Our Purpose is based on the scriptures from the greatest commandment in the scriptures as declared by our Lord in Matthew 22:37-39 NIV 37Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.
We are a Pentecostal Church
Being a Pentecostal Church means that, as on the day of Pentecost, we allow and encourage the free flow of Gods Holy Spirit in our services and encourage that each person would experience and embrace the active move of the Holy Spirit in their daily/personal lives. The scripture tells us that “signs and wonders will follow all who believe”. True Spiritual gifts are always welcomed at The River Church. Healings, tongues and interpretation, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, and every other perfect gift comes from above and are welcomed in our midst.
