What is Podcasting:
“A podcast or podcasting is a digital media file, or a series of such files, that is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and personal computers. A podcast is a specific type of webcast which, like ‘radio’, can mean either the content itself or the method by which it is syndicated.”
Definition of podcast or podcasting taken from Wikipedia
To put it simply, it’s technology that allows audio content to be automatically downloaded to your mp3 software like iTunes, or even cooler, to your iPod or other mp3 player. It works through a web language called RSS (Really Simple Syndication).
Now, we know you probably could care less about all the tech jargin, and you’re just here to figure out how to use this cool technology to get weekly downloads of Falls Christian Assembly messages automatically. Our official RSS feed for Falls Christian Assembly weekly sermon can be subscribed to by simply entering the following url into your podcast software: http://www.theriverchurchag.com/sermon/sermon.xml If you see one of these two logos of the rss
in the address bar click on it and you can subscribe to that podcast.
There are multiple options for podcasting software for both Mac and Windows. Here is one Juice Receiver.
